Responsibilities
- Perform high-quality manicure services, including shaping, buffing, cuticle care, and polish application using various techniques.
- Provide additional beauty treatments such as nail art, gel polish, acrylics, or dip powder to enhance client satisfaction.
- Maintain strict sanitation and sterilization protocols to ensure a safe and hygienic environment for clients and staff.
- Offer expert advice on nail care routines, color theory, and trending styles to help clients select their perfect look.
- Engage with clients through excellent customer service skills, creating a friendly atmosphere that encourages repeat visits.
- Upsell retail products like nail polishes, skincare items, or tools that complement the client’s treatment and promote retail sales.
- Stay current with industry trends in nail care, esthetic laser treatments, hair extensions, eyelash extensions, and other beauty services to expand your expertise.
Experience
- Proven experience as a manicurist or nail technician with a strong portfolio of diverse nail services.
- Knowledge of color theory and current nail art trends to provide creative options for clients.
- Familiarity with sanitation standards and best practices within the beauty industry.
- Certification in cosmetology or related fields preferred; licensing requirements vary by location.
- Experience with advanced treatments such as dermabrasion or esthetic laser treatments is a plus but not mandatory.
- Excellent communication skills to understand client needs and recommend suitable services confidently.
