Estimator Requirements & Qualifications
-
3-5 years of experience as an estimator in electrical construction or equivalent experience.

Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering, construction management, or a related field; applicable experience will be considered in lieu of a degree.
Estimator Preferred Background & Skills
-
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (required) and Trimble Accubid v16 (preferred).

Exceptional time management, multitasking, and interpersonal skills.

Ability to read and interpret blueprints for project estimation.

Strong research, proposal writing, and oral presentation skills.

Extensive knowledge of best industry practices and standards.
Estimator Day-to-Day Responsibilities

Assemble material and labor costs for client proposals on construction projects.

Conduct subcontractor solicitation and pre-qualification tasks.

Analyze and insert specialty and standard equipment and material pricing into estimates.

Confirm estimates meet schedule protocols and specifications of scope.

Evaluate and condition subcontractor and supplier quotes.

Review plans and specifications for the completion of estimates.
