Dolly's Florist is seeking a reliable, punctual, and professional Delivery Driver to join our team. As the "face" of our company on the road, you will be responsible for ensuring timely deliveries while providing exceptional customer service. We pride ourselves on safety and efficiency, making a pristine driving record a top priority for this role.
Key Responsibilities
- Perks of the Role: Company delivery van and fuel provided—zero wear and tear on your personal vehicle!
- Safe & Careful Transport: Securely load and transport delicate arrangements, ensuring they do not tip or wilt. This includes maintaining the vehicle's climate control to protect flowers from the Miami heat.
- Miami-Dade Navigation: Navigate efficiently across the county (from Aventura to South Miami and everywhere in between), using GPS to bypass traffic on I-95, the Palmetto, and the Turnpike.
- Professional Hand-off: Deliver arrangements to homes, businesses, hospitals, and funeral homes with a courteous demeanor.
- Vehicle Care: Keep the company delivery van clean and fueled. Conduct daily checks to ensure it’s ready for the road.
- In-Shop Assistance: During downtime, assist the design team with light tasks like cleaning buckets, processing flower shipments, or organizing the delivery bay.
Qualifications
- Driving Record: A valid Florida Driver’s License with a strictly clean 3-year Motor Vehicle Record (MVR). Our insurance requires a history free of major violations or accidents.
- Local Knowledge: Strong familiarity with Miami-Dade neighborhoods and traffic patterns.
- Bilingual Preferred: Ability to communicate in both English and Spanish is a major plus for interacting with our diverse customer base.
- Physical Stamina: Ability to lift and carry heavy items, stand for extended periods, and perform physical tasks related to floral preparation.
- Physical Ability: Must be able to lift up to 40 lbs (heavy vases/potted plants) and remain comfortable driving for long periods.
- Holiday Availability: Availability during "Floral Peak Weeks" is mandatory (Valentine’s Day, Mother’s Day, and December holidays).
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $16.00 - $18.00 per hour
