R&D Property Solutions is a rapidly growing home maintenance and home remodeling construction company.
We have a great team that does excellent work together, as well as independently. We are looking for someone to undertake the responsibility of joining the crew to preserve and restore the good condition and functionality of homes.
You will work side by side with a great team performing a wide range of general construction and maintenance tasks such as: installing and removing lighting and plumbing fixtures, drywall patch and paint, trim and framing carpentry, installing doors, etc.
We need skilled and experienced individuals with a practical mind and attention to detail. You should possess the ability to lead by doing and set a consistent and fast pace.
The ideal candidate will have their own tools, be able to work autonomously, responsibly, establish a plan of action, maintain a productive timeline, and observe all health and safety guidelines.
The goal is to maintain and restore homes in the best possible condition.
Responsibilities
- Provide your own hand and power tools
- Ability to create a complete materials list needed for repairs
- Perform maintenance of electrical systems (replace light fixtures, clean and repair circuit breaker panels etc.)
- Perform light carpentry, including some trim and framing work
- Assist in the setup of ventilation and other systems and conduct repairs when necessary
- Maintain, troubleshoot, and repair plumbing systems to ensure functionality
- Perform manual repairs when necessary (fix locks, replace windows etc.)Survey buildings and repair mechanical systems to ensure they are consistent with health and safety standards
- Conduct general upkeep and renovation procedures and other tasks as assigned including but not limited to (demo, trash out, painting, trim work, framing, carpentry, landscaping, etc.)
- Keep and set pace for the team
Skills
- 3 years+ of Remodeling / maintenance person / handyperson, general, or specialized construction work experience
- Basic understanding of electrical, plumbing, and other home systems
- Plumbing experience a plus
- Masonry experience a plus
- Ability analyze a project and create materials list
- Ability to estimate time requirements for small jobs and execute on
- Proven remodeling and or maintenance experience
- Knowledge of general maintenance processes and methods
- Working knowledge of tools, common appliances and devices
- Manual dexterity and problem-solving skills
- Good physical condition and strength
- Willingness to work till the job is done
- High school diploma or equivalent; building maintenance technology or relevant field, experience with HVAC, not required will be a plus
- Experienced Maintenance Person encouraged to apply
