Under the supervision of the Deputy Drain Commissioner, assists with daily reports, entering invoices for payment and processing splits/combinations yearly for inclusion in the winter tax bills. Assists in maintaining the financial functions of the office and performs a variety of related support duties.
High school diploma or equivalent including some vocational training in bookkeeping and one year of experience in office work involving financial records. Ability to maintain detailed and accurate financial records and perform bookkeeping procedures. Ability to learn applicable local, state, and federal laws, rules, and regulations as they relate to financial requirements. Ability to establish effective working relationships and use good judgment, initiative and resourcefulness when dealing with County employees, contractors to the County, representatives of other governmental units, professional contacts, elected officials, and the public. Skill in the use of office equipment and technology, including Microsoft Suite and financial applications and the ability to learn new technologies.
Current hourly range starting at $19.97 - $26.03/hr (7-year progression).
