This role leads hospital-wide readiness and response during system outages and cyber events—ensuring patient care continues safely across all clinical departments.
This is a high-visibility role working closely with clinical leaders, IT, and executive teams to strengthen emergency preparedness and operational continuity.
What You’ll Do

Lead hospital-wide clinical downtime preparedness and response

Develop and maintain downtime and business continuity playbooks

Coordinate downtime drills and real-time incident response

Partner with Nursing, Pharmacy, Lab, Radiology, and Registration to optimize manual workflows

Train clinical teams on downtime procedures and emergency readiness

Track patient safety risks and lead post-event improvement efforts
During Critical Events

Serve as the on-site Clinical Downtime Lead in Incident Command

Coordinate manual clinical workflows across departments

Provide real-time updates to leadership

Monitor and mitigate patient safety risks
Ideal Background
We welcome candidates from:

Nursing (RN), Clinical Operations, or Informatics

3+ years in hospital-based clinical roles
Strong communication, training, and coordination skills are key.
