Job Title: Banquet Server/Set up
FLSA Status: Part time $16 per hour
Department: Food & Beverage
Reports to: F&B Manager and/or Assistant Banquet Manager
Jekyll Island Convention Center, Legends Global managed facility, has an immediate opening for part-time banquet servers.
Position Summary:
This position provides a high quality catering service for banquets.
Qualifications:

Must be 18 years of age or older

Must be able to work unsupervised

Must have attention to detail

Must have good oral communication skills

Must have strong customer service skills

Must be able to adapt to changes in the work environment, managing competing demands, frequent changes, delays or unexpected events

Must have strong interpersonal skills

Must be results driven, follow direction and ask questions for clarification if needed

Must be able to work flexible hours.
Major Responsibilities:
-
Assist with collecting all banquet equipment to include flatware, china, glassware, and serving pieces needed for each event

Prepares garnishes, beverages, condiments, and breads
-
Clean and fill salt and pepper containers, sugar dishes, creamers, etc

Assist with preparation and set-up of event room when necessary

Prepare tables with place settings as instructed

Prepare and serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks consistent with the standard drink recipes

Maintains bottles and glasses in an attractive and functional manner to support efficient drink preparation and promotion of beverages

Establish and maintain positive client relationships

Breakdown tables and banquet equipment after each event
-
Clean and return serving pieces to proper storage area

Performs cash handling and/or cashiering functions based on demand

Perform other duties as assigned
Physical Demands:
- Daily lifting and carrying up to 40 lbs. Up to 10 minutes at a time.

Constant reaching, standing, walking and stooping

Performing work through repetitive eye/hand coordination

Must be able to balance and have good manual dexterity

Must be able to adapt to changes in the work environment, managing competing demands, frequent changes, delays or unexpected events
