Autism Support Coach / Life Skills Coach — Community-Based
Full-Time or Part-Time | Flexible Schedule | 20–40+ Hours Available
At Inspire Home and Health, we support adults with autism and intellectual/developmental disabilities (IDD) in becoming more independent, active, and connected within their communities.
We are looking for energetic, dependable, and engaging people who want to make a meaningful impact. This is not a traditional home-care role. Our goal is not to simply supervise someone during a shift — we want our staff actively working with individuals on their goals, interests, independence, and community involvement.
About the Role
As an Autism Support Coach / Life Skills Coach, you will work one-on-one with an adult with autism or another developmental disability.
Every individual is different, but a typical day could include:
- Going to the YMCA or working out
- Cooking and meal preparation
- Going to movies, libraries, stores, or community events
- Working on communication and social skills
- Practicing money management and budgeting
- Volunteering or exploring employment opportunities
- Working on personal goals and daily living skills
- Building routines and increasing independence
- Trying new activities based on the individual's interests
We want our staff to do things with the people we support, not simply sit with them.

- Communicate with our Program Specialists, Behavior Support Specialists, families, and other members of the individual's team

- Have a reliable personal vehicle
- Have a valid driver's license and current auto insurance
- Be comfortable transporting the individuals they support
