Job Description:
We are seeking compassionate and dedicated Resident Care Assistants/Home Health Aides with the skills, dedication and compassion that will enhance the lives of our residents. Your role is providing hands on care with the following:
- Personal Care Assistance
- Assist residents in managing Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing and grooming
2. Medication Administration
· Complete training and obtain certification in Medication Administration.
· Administer medications accurately and safely as per prescribed guidelines.
- Meal and Nutrition Support
- Escort residents to meals and ensure they have the necessary assistance to eat comfortably and safely.
- Monitor and document residents' dietary intake and report any concerns to the nursing staff.
- Emotional and Social Support
- Support residents in achieving their highest level of physical, emotional, and psycho-social well-being.
- Engage residents in recreational activities and social interactions to promote a sense of community and mental stimulation.
- Health Monitoring and Reporting
- Observe and report any changes in residents’ physical or mental health to the nursing staff promptly.
- Assist with medication reminders and ensure residents follow their prescribed treatment plans.
- Environmental Maintenance
- Maintain a clean, safe, and orderly environment for residents.
- Assist with light housekeeping tasks such as making beds, tidying rooms, and ensuring residents' living spaces are comfortable.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to handle physical demands, including lifting and transferring residents.
- Empathy, patience, and a genuine desire to improve the lives of residents.
Work Environment:
- This position requires standing, walking, bending, and lifting for extended periods.
- You will work in a team-oriented setting with other healthcare professionals to deliver high-quality care.
