Job Overview:
Our Ophthalmology group is looking for a Medical Cosmetologist that will be responsible for providing high-quality aesthetic services with a primary focus on Tixel skin treatments. This role works closely with physicians and clinical staff to deliver safe, professional, and personalized patient care. The cosmetologist will perform consultations, prepare patients for treatment, operate aesthetic equipment within their scope of practice, educate patients on treatment expectations and aftercare, and maintain excellent standards of safety, cleanliness, and patient satisfaction.
Duties:
- Perform Tixel treatments and other approved aesthetic services in accordance with company protocols, manufacturer guidelines, and applicable regulations.
- Conduct patient consultations to evaluate skin concerns, review treatment goals, and recommend appropriate aesthetic treatment plans.
- Educate patients on Tixel treatment benefits, expectations, preparation requirements, post-treatment care, and maintenance recommendations.
- Review patient history and identify any contraindications prior to performing aesthetic treatments.
- Properly prepare patients and treatment areas before procedures.
- Maintain accurate documentation of treatments performed, patient progress, consent forms, and before/after records.
- Ensure all equipment, supplies, and treatment rooms are properly cleaned, sanitized, and maintained according to infection control standards.
- Provide excellent customer service by creating a comfortable and professional patient experience.
- Assist with scheduling follow-up treatments and promoting patient retention.
- Collaborate with physicians, providers, and team members regarding patient care and treatment outcomes.
- Follow HIPAA regulations and maintain patient confidentiality at all times.
Experience:
- Active Cosmetology License in the state of practice.
- Experience performing aesthetic treatments preferred.
- Completion of Tixel device training/certification preferred or willingness to complete required training.
- Strong knowledge of skin types, skincare treatments, and proper sanitation practices.
- Excellent communication and customer service skills.
- Ability to educate patients and create a positive treatment experience.
- Detail-oriented with strong documentation and organizational skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a medical office environment.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Previous experience in a medical spa, dermatology, ophthalmology, or aesthetic medicine setting.
- Knowledge of facial rejuvenation treatments and skincare products.
- Experience with patient consultations and treatment planning.
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to stand for extended periods of time.
- Ability to perform repetitive hand movements during treatments.
- Ability to lift and organize treatment supplies as needed.
- Comfortable working directly with patients in a clinical environment.

Pay: $16.00 - $25.00 per hour
