Duties and Responsibilities
§ Provides orientation to patients
§ Educates patients on their rights, grievance process and explains rules and regulations.
§ Use therapeutic techniques to de-escalate
§ Attends court ordered hearings as needed.
§ Must be willing to be a witness on a court ordered petition ordered hearing.
§ Maintain cleanliness of the facility, perform light cleaning of furniture,
§ Work as a team member with other personnel members to ensure the program is operated in a safe, orderly and therapeutic manner
§ Participate as an active member of the treatment team by:
i. Attending all clinical staffing sessions,
ii. Participate in in-service training
iii. Complete required clinical and administrative documentation
§ Develop professional relationships with co-workers, contractors, volunteers.
§ Perform the following:
o Behavioral Health Assessments
o Counseling services
o Group facilitation
o Attend clinical oversight by a BHP
o Writing a progress notes
o Completing an incident report
o Emergency safety response
o Documents patient encounters in EHR
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
§ Knowledge of Crisis Intervention and ability to de-escalate potentially aggressive situations
§ Knowledge of Seclusion/Restraint standards, guidelines and techniques;
§ Provide education to patient regarding Behavioral Health diagnosis, medications and treatments
§ Demonstrates ability to effectively use therapeutic option theory and technique and can describe and demonstrate their roles and responsibilities.
§ Check Patient medication record for accuracy and update as needed.
§ Must have patience and good communication skills.
§ Adhere to a professional code of ethic and confidentiality.
§ Embrace and respect culture diversity.
§ Recognize the rights of Patients and their families.
Job Types: Full-time, Part-time
Pay: $18.00 - $21.00 per hour
