The Dietary Aide plays an essential role in supporting the daily operations of our Dietary team. This position assists in preparing and delivering meals to residents while maintaining a clean, safe, and pleasant dining environment. The ideal candidate is friendly, dependable, and enjoys working with seniors.
Full Time Schedule: 6:45 AM - 2:45 PM; Part Time Schedule: 3:45 PM - 7:45 PM. Every Other Weekend Required.
Responsibilities
- Assist in meal preparation and service in accordance with resident diet plans and facility policies.
- Deliver meal trays and ensure timely service.
- Maintain cleanliness and sanitation in kitchen, dining, and food storage areas.
- Wash dishes, utensils, and equipment following established procedures.
- Follow all food safety and infection control protocols.
- Communicate effectively and respectfully with residents, families, and team members.
- Support the cook and dietary staff as needed to ensure smooth operation of meal services.
Qualifications
- Prior experience in food service or healthcare setting preferred but not required.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills.
- Ability to follow instructions and maintain attention to detail.
- Compassionate and respectful attitude toward residents and coworkers.
