Financial Planning & Analytics Analyst III

Our healthcare client is seeking an experienced Financial Planning & Analytics (FP&A) Analyst III to support strategic decision-making across the health system. This role will lead financial modeling, reporting, benchmarking, and decision-support initiatives that help drive operational and financial performance. The ideal candidate is a highly analytical problem-solver who can transform complex data into actionable insights and effectively partner with leaders throughout the organization.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain financial models, pro formas, forecasts, and scenario analyses to support business decisions.
- Analyze financial performance trends, including revenue, expenses, and capital investments, and identify opportunities for improvement.
- Manage and enhance financial decision-support tools, including productivity, contract analytics, market share analytics, and costing applications.
- Ensure data integrity through auditing, reconciliation, and validation of financial information.
- Lead benchmarking activities and provide comparative performance insights and recommendations.
- Support annual budgeting and forecasting processes through labor, revenue, and reimbursement analyses.
- Deliver executive-level reports, presentations, and financial insights to support strategic initiatives.
- Mentor junior analysts and drive continuous improvement of FP&A processes, systems, and tools.
- Serve as a trusted advisor to operational and executive leaders on financial performance and decision support.
QualificationsRequired Education
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, or a related field.
Required Experience
- Minimum of 6 years of healthcare finance experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Experience with financial reporting, analytics, forecasting, budgeting, and decision-support systems in a healthcare environment.
- Strong analytical, financial modeling, and data interpretation skills.
- Ability to communicate complex financial information to diverse audiences and influence decision-making.
