You will provide personalized support, assist with daily activities, and foster a safe, engaging environment that promotes growth, confidence, and well-being.
Duties
- Support individuals with developmental disabilities, neurodevelopmental disorders, and cognitive disabilities in their daily routines and activities
- Assist with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) such as grooming, bathing, dressing, and meal preparation
- Provide behavioral health support and implement behavior management strategies to promote positive behaviors
- Operate a standard passenger car safely to transport clients to appointments, community activities, or outings
- Collect data on client progress and document observations accurately for ongoing care planning
- Support clients with social services needs by coordinating community resources and advocating for their rights
- Assist with caregiving tasks including childcare when applicable, ensuring a nurturing environment
- Maintain clear communication with clients, families, and team members to ensure consistent support and understanding
Experience
- Prior experience working with individuals with autism, intellectual disabilities, or neurodevelopmental disorders is preferred
- Background in special education or behavioral health services enhances your ability to support diverse needs effectively
- Familiarity with home and community care environments demonstrates your adaptability in various settings
- Knowledge of behavior management techniques and experience implementing them is advantageous
- Valid driver’s license with experience operating a standard passenger car for personal transportation assistance
- Certification in First Aid and CPR is required to ensure safety during emergencies, training is available
- Strong communication skills for effective client interaction and collaboration within multidisciplinary teams
- Experience in data collection, social work practices, or medication administration supports comprehensive client care

Pay: From $16.25 per hour
Expected hours: 10.0 – 20.0 per week
