Onsite leadership is essential for the successful execution of any project. At G&P, the Project Supervisor ensures that day-to-day operations run smoothly, maintaining high standards of quality and safety on the job site. Working closely with the Project Manager, you will be the primary point of contact on the ground, responsible for overseeing all aspects of project execution. Your role is crucial in ensuring that projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the client’s satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee daily operations on the job site, ensuring that work is performed according to project plans and specifications.
- Coordinate and supervise subcontractors, suppliers, and field labor.
- Ability to manage inventory items – adding new items and updating existing.
- Monitor project progress, providing regular updates to the Project Manager.
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations, company policies, and client requirements at all times.
- Resolve onsite problems or conflicts, escalating issues to the Project Manager .
- Manage site logistics, including the delivery and storage of materials and equipment.
- Maintain accurate records of daily activities, including labor, materials, and equipment usage.
- Provide leadership and support to field labor, ensuring a positive and productive work environment.
Requirements
- Associate’s degree in management, engineering, or related work experience.
- Proven experience in onsite project supervision.
- Excellent leadership and communication skills, and ability to motivate field teams.
- Strong problem-solving abilities, with the capability to address issues effectively.
- In-depth knowledge of safety regulations and best practices.
- Ability to read and interpret construction plans, blueprints, and specifications.
- Experience in the material handling or a related industry is beneficial.
- 75% travel to oversee different project sites, which may be more from time to time.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $40,000.00 - $50,000.00 per year
