Position Summary
The Equipment & Facilities Maintenance Technician will oversee the repair and maintenance of café equipment (coffee brewing, refrigeration, etc.) and repairs of electrical, plumbing, carpentry, painting, and other building systems.
Key Responsibilities
· Manages the day-to-day maintenance operations.
· Evaluates and prioritizes systems or facilities to determine maintenance or repairs that need to be performed.
· Develop maintenance procedures and schedules.
· Inspects and perform general repairs to the facility’s equipment and systems.
· Conducts preventive maintenance to ensure that plumbing, electrical, and HVAC systems continue operating properly.
· Obtains services of outside contractors when repairs require specialized training.
· Performs general preventive maintenance of equipment.
· Maintains inventory of maintenance equipment & parts.
· Ensures assigned facilities and equipment are ready for regular business and special events.
· Provides recommendations for purchases of new equipment.
· Ensures maintenance and repair work is completed correctly and in a timely manner.
· Assists with determining costs of specific repair projects.
· Performs other related duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications
· High school diploma or equivalent required.
· Technical Diploma preferred
· At least five years of maintenance experience required.
· Extensive knowledge of building systems such as plumbing, and electrical.
· Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
· Ability to identify issues and determine repairs that are needed.
· Ability to plan maintenance schedules for building systems.
· Ability to use hand tools and power tools.
· Ability to follow instructions.
· Excellent time management skills.
· Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
· Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or similar software.
· Basic understanding of or ability to quickly learn the equipment and facilities to be maintained.
Preferred Qualifications
· Experience managing the company’s type of facilities, equipment, and events preferred.
- Coffee Equipment repair a plus especially familiarity with specialty coffee machines, grinders, espresso machines, batch brewers.
- Strong electrical aptitude.
Physical Requirements
· Must be physically able to perform repairs when needed.
· Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds.
· Prolonged periods of standing and walking.
· Must be physically able to climb ladders, bend, and crawl into awkward spaces.
Working Conditions
- Must have availability during café hours of operation which includes some evenings & weekends.
· Must be able to service multiple properties and facilities to diagnose building issues and plan repairs or maintenance.
· On occasion may have to service locations outside of Western NY.
Compensation & Benefits
- Pay range: $28 - $30 per hour
- Car Allowance - $300/month
- Cell Phone Allowance $100/month

Pay: $28.00 - $30.00 per hour
