Jacksonville Classical Academy is currently hiring a Preschool Teacher to join our team for the 2026-2027 school year who has a passion for classical education. The ideal candidate will have prior experience teaching multiple classroom subjects to 4 year old students. Successful candidates are detail oriented, have excellent organizational and communication skills, and excellent interpersonal skills to interact with students, parents, faculty, and administrators.
Position could be part time or full time depending on candidate.
Overall Responsibilities
The Preschool Teacher will use effective classroom management techniques to maintain an organized learning environment. He or she will create and engage students in lessons daily and coordinate with grade level teachers.

- Support the vision, policies, financial objectives and directives of the governing board.
- Support a positive school culture based on mutual respect and shared expectations.
- Be willing to assist others as needed.
Qualifications
- The minimum educational requirement for this job is an undergraduate degree.
- Proficiency in Google Office Suite and other industry-specific technology.
- The ability to communicate effectively and problem solve in a fast-paced environment is critical to the success in this position.
- Knowledge of classical teaching methods is preferred.
Strong candidates for Lead Teacher positions should meet the following criteria:
- National CDA or Staff Credential with formal education recommended
- Minimum of 40 DCF training hours required
- VPK certification or strong experience teaching 3–4-year-olds
- Candidates must commit to completing any required VPK coursework prior to the start of the school year
- Familiarity with CLASS and curriculum implementation
