Recovery Unplugged is seeking compassionate, dependable, and motivated Behavioral Health Technicians (BHTs) to join our team. As a BHT, you will play a vital role in supporting individuals recovering from substance use and co-occurring mental health disorders by helping maintain a safe, structured, and therapeutic environment.

What You'll Do
- Supervise and monitor clients to ensure safety and well-being.
- Conduct routine safety checks and drug/alcohol screenings.
- Provide safe transportation to appointments, meetings, and other approved activities.
- Assist with client admissions and discharges, including room preparation, belongings inventory, and required documentation.
- Accurately document client activities, incidents, and shift reports.
- Maintain client confidentiality in accordance with HIPAA and 42 CFR Part 2 regulations.
- Communicate client expectations, rights, and program guidelines in a respectful and professional manner.
- Respond appropriately to emergencies and behavioral health situations.
- Foster a positive, supportive, recovery-focused environment.
- Follow all company policies, ethical standards, and regulatory requirements.
- Complete all required trainings and certifications.
Qualifications
Required
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
- Current CPR certification (or ability to obtain upon hire).
- Ability to pass all required background screenings and pre-employment requirements.
Preferred
- Experience working in behavioral health, addiction treatment, healthcare, or human services.
- Knowledge of substance use disorders and the recovery process.
- Strong communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
- Ability to remain calm and professional in challenging situations.
Physical Requirements
- Lift and carry up to 15 pounds.
- Frequently walk, stand, bend, squat, and climb stairs.
- Safely operate company vehicles.
- Use computers and electronic documentation systems throughout the workday.
Work Environment
- Primarily indoor behavioral healthcare setting.
- Regular interaction with individuals experiencing substance use and mental health challenges.
- May include evenings, weekends, holidays, or on-call shifts as needed.
