We’re seeking an experienced Mechanic to inspect, diagnose, repair, and maintain a wide range of tree care and landscaping equipment.
Responsibilities
- Diagnose and repair small engines, trucks, and equipment using diagnostic scan tools
- Maintain and repair chainsaws, chippers, stump grinders, mowers, and other landscaping tools
- Service trucks, trailers, and hydraulic systems
- Perform routine maintenance and preventative inspections
- Respond to job sites to perform field repairs as needed
- Keep maintenance logs and service records up to date
- Identify safety issues and mechanical failures before they become major problems
- Work closely with field crews to minimize equipment downtime in a fast-paced environment
Qualifications
- 2+ years of experience as a mechanic (tree, landscaping, construction, or similar field preferred)
- Strong knowledge of small engines, gas/diesel motors, and hydraulics
- Ability to use diagnostic scan tools for troubleshooting
- Ability to troubleshoot electrical and mechanical issues
- Reliable, punctual, and able to start work at 5:30 AM
- Ability to keep up with a fast-paced work environment
- Ability to work well with others in a team environment
- Willingness and ability to perform field repairs in varying conditions
- Own basic tools (specialty tools provided)
- Valid driver’s license (CDL a plus, not required)
Preferred (but Not Required)
- Experience with arborist or forestry equipment
- Welding or fabrication skills
- DOT inspection experience
- Spanish-speaking ability preferred
Pay: $25.00 - $45.00 per hour
