Qualifications of Emergency Vehicle Technician:
- 1+ Year of Electrical Install experience on Vehicles required
- ASE or Emergency Vehicle Technician (EVT) Cert preferred
- Experience with EMS Lighting / Siren Systems: Whelen, Federal Signal, Code 3, SoundOff Signal preferred
- Two Way Radio Systems: Motorola APX, MOTOTRBO, Kenwood, Harris preferred

Responsibilities of Emergency Vehicle Technician:
- Installing, wiring, and troubleshooting 12-volt electrical and communication systems on public safety, government, utility, and commercial fleet vehicles
- Responsibilities include installing two-way radios, emergency lighting, sirens, antennas, GPS systems, mobile data terminals, cameras, and other 12-volt electronics; routing wiring; reading wiring diagrams; and testing electrical systems
- Work primarily includes upfitting police, fire, EMS, utility, municipal, and commercial fleet vehicles with mission-critical communication and emergency response equipment
- Must be reliable, self-motivated, and able to work independently or on a team
