Join our dynamic team as a Commercial Driver's License (CDL) A Truck Driver and take the wheel of our state-of-the-art tractor-trailers to deliver freight across various routes. Duties
- Safely operate tractor-trailers and commercial trucks following FMCSA (Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration) regulations and DOT (Department of Transportation) standards.
- Drive over-the-road (OTR) routes, managing long-distance deliveries with efficiency and safety.
- Load, secure, and unload freight using manual handling techniques, ensuring proper cargo handling for hazardous materials and dangerous goods.
- Use GPS navigation systems to plan optimal routes, monitor traffic conditions, and ensure on-time deliveries.
- Transport various types of freight including refrigerated goods, hazardous materials, automobile transportation, flatbed loads, and tanker shipments.
- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections to verify vehicle safety, including checking for compliance with hazardous materials regulations.
- Load & unload cargo accurately while adhering to truck loading and unloading procedures; handle logistics cargo with care to prevent damage.
- Maintain detailed records of deliveries, mileage logs, inspection reports, and compliance documentation in accordance with FMCSA regulations.
Qualifications
- Valid CDL Class A license with a clean driving record.
- Proven experience in commercial truck driving, including route driving and delivery driving.
- Knowledge of refrigerated trailer operation, hazardous materials regulations, and dangerous goods handling.
- Skilled in manual transmission operation and truck loading/unloading techniques.
- Familiarity with GPS navigation systems for route planning and real-time tracking.
- Ability to operate tractor-trailers safely while complying with DOT regulations and FMCSA standards.
- Experience with freight handling involving flatbeds, tankers, or automobile transportation is preferred.
- Strong manual handling skills for load & unload tasks; excellent driving skills for over-the-road routes.
