As an Associate Attorney, you'll help individuals secure the disability benefits they deserve during some of life's most challenging moments. You'll advocate for clients with compassion, professionalism, and attention to detail while working alongside a collaborative team dedicated to exceptional service. CORE RESPONSIBILITIES
- Represent clients in a variety of legal matters, with a significant focus on ERISA & Non-ERISA long-term disability (LTD) claims and state retirement system (OPERS, STRS, SERS, etc.) disability claims.
- Develop case strategies by reviewing medical records, claim files, vocational evidence, and applicable laws and regulations.
- Prepare legal briefs, appeals, hearing materials, and other case-related documents with accuracy and attention to detail.
- Advocate for clients through hearings, written and oral arguments, negotiations, and administrative proceedings as appropriate.
- Build trusted client relationships through compassionate communication, proactive updates, and exceptional service.
- Collaborate with attorneys and support staff to manage caseloads efficiently while maintaining the highest standards of professionalism and ethics.
EXPERIENCE: 0-3 years of practicing law preferred. Recent law school graduates awaiting Ohio Bar Exam results are also encouraged to apply.
COMPENSATION & BENEFITS: Base salary paid every two weeks, plus a percentage of revenues received from assigned cases paid quarterly, plus achievable KPI-based bonuses paid quarterly. Total compensation in the first year is estimated to be between $60,000-$90,000. Benefits include Life Insurance, Health Insurance, Paid Vacation, and 401(k) (after 1 year).
