We're looking for a Customer Service Representative – Track & Trace who thrives on staying organized in a fast-paced environment, communicates clearly under pressure, and takes pride in getting the details right. You will work closely with dispatch and accounting to make sure that our customers have an accurate and consistent flow of information regarding their shipments.
What You'll Be Doing
You'll be the main point of contact for customers to receive additional information about their shipments. To effectively do this you will:
- Order Entry and Tracking: Communicate with customers to confirm orders and accurately input them into the TMS (Mcleod). Keep loads updated with accurate, current status on every active shipment
- Run check calls with drivers: stay ahead of delays, breakdowns, or issues before they become a customer's problem
- Be the go-to for customer questions: respond quickly and confidently to inquiries about load status, ETAs, and delivery details
- Manage documentation: send and track Bills of Lading and other paperwork so nothing holds up a delivery or an invoice
- Catch problems early: flag and escalate exceptions (late freight, detention, damaged goods) so dispatch and ops can act fast
What We're Looking For
You will succeed in this role if:
- You communicate proactively: you are able to stay on top of information and keep others informed before they ask.
- You can manage a high volume of moving pieces without losing track of what matters most
- You have sharp attention to detail: you can keep data consistent and accurate
- You're comfortable across multiple systems at once (TMS, phone, email) and pick up new tools quickly
- You stay composed with a lot of moving parts and are able to handle setbacks with drivers, customers, or systems.
What You'll Need
- 1+ years in customer service, dispatch, or logistics (call center experience welcome if you're detail-oriented)
- Comfort with high call/email volume and repetitive data entry
- Experience with McLeod or another TMS is a strong plus
