Overview
We are seeking a dynamic and passionate Sous Chef to join our vibrant culinary team. In this role, you will be instrumental in supporting the Executive Chef by overseeing daily kitchen operations, ensuring exceptional food quality, and maintaining a lively, efficient work environment. Your expertise will help elevate our dining experience, whether in fine dining settings, catering events, or banquet services. Responsibilities
- Assist in managing all kitchen operations, including food preparation, cooking, and presentation to uphold high standards of quality and consistency.
- Being responsible to work a station 3-4 days a week including but not limited to pasta, grill, sauté, and expo.
- Supervise and mentor kitchen staff, including cooks and food handlers, to ensure smooth shift execution and professional development.
- Oversee inventory management and control to minimize waste, monitor stock levels, and ensure proper storage of ingredients and supplies.
- Support menu planning and development by contributing creative ideas aligned with seasonal ingredients and customer preferences.
- Ensure strict adherence to food safety regulations, sanitation standards, and proper handling procedures across all kitchen activities.
- Coordinate with catering and banquet teams to execute large-scale events seamlessly while maintaining excellent service quality.
- Manage shift schedules, delegate tasks efficiently, and monitor workflow to optimize productivity during busy periods.
Requirements
- Proven experience in fine dining environments with a strong background in food production, culinary arts, and restaurant management.
- Demonstrated supervising experience with the ability to lead a diverse team effectively.
- Extensive knowledge of food safety standards, dietary department procedures, and food handling protocols.
- Hands-on experience with inventory control, kitchen management systems, and food service operations.
- Familiarity with catering services, banquet operations, and event coordination is highly desirable.
- Strong leadership skills combined with excellent communication abilities to motivate staff and ensure team cohesion.
- Previous experience in hospitality settings that emphasize high-quality food presentation and exceptional customer service. Pay: $55,000.00 - $60,000.00 per year
