As the Fitness Services Supervisor, you will play a critical leadership role in delivering exceptional fitness experiences while supporting the Club's commitment to outstanding member service, wellness, and operational excellence.
Job Summary:
The Fitness Services Supervisor is responsible for the day-to-day administration and supervision of all Personal Training services. This role provides leadership to the Fitness PRO team while ensuring that operational standards, scheduling, documentation, revenue goals, and member satisfaction are consistently achieved.
Working closely with the Director of Fitness & Wellness, this position serves as the primary administrative leader for Fitness Services and plays a key role in staff development, program growth, and operational success.
Roles and Responsibilities:
Leadership & Team Development

Supervise and mentor a team of Fitness PROs, including Personal Trainers and Exercise Specialists.

Conduct weekly or bi-weekly one-on-one meetings with direct reports.

Complete monthly coaching documentation and annual performance evaluations.

Recruit, interview, onboard, and train new Fitness PROs.

Foster a positive, collaborative, and accountable team culture.

Provide ongoing coaching to improve staff performance and member service.
Administrative Responsibilities

Manage Fitness PRO schedules and staffing coverage.

Review payroll and administrative hours for accuracy.

Monitor trainer productivity and client utilization.

Maintain employee records and performance documentation.

Prepare monthly operational and performance reports.

Ensure compliance with departmental policies and procedures
Personal Training Operations

Oversee daily personal training operations.

Monitor client scheduling and trainer assignments.
-
Ensure all required assessments and client documentation are completed.

Track personal training sessions, package utilization, and client retention.

Support trainers in delivering safe, effective, and individualized programming.
Member Experience

Deliver exceptional hospitality and service to members.

Address member concerns professionally and promptly.

Build strong relationships with members to promote long-term engagement.

Ensure a consistent, high-quality personal training experience.
Business Development
-
Support departmental revenue and retention goals.

Monitor key performance metrics and identify opportunities for growth.

Assist in developing promotional campaigns and new programming.

Encourage relationship-based sales through outstanding member service.
Facility Oversight

Ensure training spaces remain clean, organized, and safe.

Monitor equipment condition and report maintenance needs.

Maintain compliance with safety procedures and emergency protocols
Qualifications
Required
-
Nationally accredited Personal Training Certification (NASM, ACSM, ACE, NSCA, or equivalent)

Current CPR/AED Certification

Minimum of three years of personal training experience

Minimum of two years of leadership or supervisory experience

Strong organizational and administrative skills

Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite

Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
Preferred

Bachelor's degree in Exercise Science, Kinesiology, Sports Management, or related field

Experience working in a private club or luxury hospitality environment

Titleist Performance Institute (TPI) Certification
-
Corrective Exercise or Performance Enhancement specialization

Experience with club management software and reporting systems
