Job Summary
The Coordinated Family Support Specialist plays a vital role in assisting families through social services and community resources. This position involves working closely with diverse families to provide guidance, support, and solutions that promote stability and well-being. The specialist will serve as a key liaison between clients and service providers, ensuring effective communication and tailored support plans. The role requires strong interpersonal skills, cultural sensitivity, and proficiency in social work practices to meet the unique needs of each family.
Duties
- Collaborate directly with families to assess their needs and develop individualized support plans.
- Communicate effectively with clients to provide guidance, information, and ongoing support throughout their engagement with social services.
- Work within social service frameworks to connect families with appropriate resources and community programs.
- Engage with culturally diverse communities to ensure inclusive and respectful service delivery.
- Maintain accurate documentation of client interactions, service plans, and progress using Microsoft Office tools.
- Apply social work principles to advocate for families and facilitate positive outcomes.
- Write clear, detailed reports, case notes, and correspondence related to client cases.
Experience
- Prior experience working directly with families in a social services or community support setting is preferred.
- Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively across diverse populations and cultural backgrounds.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications such as Word, Excel, and Outlook is required.
- Background or training in social work or related fields is highly desirable.
- Strong writing skills are essential for documentation and report preparation.
- Experience working within social service agencies or community organizations will be advantageous.
Pay: $22.00 - $24.00 per hour
