Job Summary
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Building Automation Systems (B.A.S.) Install Technician I to join our team. This position is for the individual that has had some exposure to low voltage or electrical work and can provide more immediate installation assistance. While working under the guidance of experienced technicians, the Tech I will continue to develop skills and gain experience with installations across multiple B.A.S. systems
Duties
- Noting best practices from senior techs and gaining literacy with control drawings and specs
- Cabling, conduit, and device installation under supervision while working towards beginning independent work
- Adhering to company standards in labeling, routing, and addressing of cables neatly
- Organization of staging areas and assistance with material handling
- Begin Fieldwire usage for task tracking, checklist completion, picture uploads, and construction print access
- Enforces safety - Understands jobsite hazards and how to mediate
Qualifications
- Demonstrates understanding and ability past the description of an Apprentice, must have some prior B.A.S. install knowledge
- Can identify tools and their applications as well as necessary materials and control system devices
- Exposure and experience with cabling and running conduit
- Reliable and consistent attendance
- Eagerness to continue learning
- Follows directions carefully and asks clarifying questions to ensure correct and efficient execution of tasks
- Emphasizes and abides by safe, clean, and professional work practices
