AK Durland Trucking LLC is seeking an experienced CDL Class A driver to join our growing family-owned trucking company.
We are a small carrier with established customers and consistent freight throughout the Southeast. We are looking for a professional driver who takes pride in equipment, communicates well, and is comfortable hauling step deck and flatbed freight. Most of our freight requires minimal tarping, making this a great opportunity for drivers who prefer limited tarp work.

About the Position
This driver will initially work closely with our team to learn our customers, lanes, and operating procedures. For the first few weeks, there will be ride-along training to help ensure a smooth transition and familiarity with our expectations and routes. The goal is to transition into running dedicated regional and OTR freight independently.
Home time will typically include weekends at home, with a mix of local, regional, and OTR work during the week depending on customer demand. Drivers can expect a typical work week of 40–60 hours. Most loads require little to no tarping, though drivers should still be comfortable with tarping when needed.
This is a salary-based position with compensation determined by experience, qualifications, and overall fit for the role.
If you’re looking for a company where you’re more than just a truck number and want to be part of a growing operation, we’d love to talk with you.
