American Traveler is seeking a Respiratory Therapist for a 13-week acute care hospital assignment requiring 2+ years of experience and current CRT certification.
-
Acute care inpatient setting with coverage of ER and outpatient areas
-
Primarily adult patients with occasional pediatric cases
-
12-hour shifts on a day/night rotation with a primary need for night shift coverage
-
Every other weekend shift required
-
Possible holiday coverage
-
No on-call or standby call requirement
-
No floating required
-
Often works as the sole RT in-house due to low patient acuity
-
Uses Hamilton T-1 ventilators, ResMed Astral, and F&P Airvo high-flow devices
-
EPIC EMR used for charting
-
Schedules are built in 4-week periods
-
Minimum 2 years of experience as a Respiratory Therapist

Certified Respiratory Therapist (CRT) via NBRC required
-
BLS and ACLS certification (AHA) required
-
Must be able to work independently
-
Only required to assist with intubation, not perform independently

License required if applicable
-
Perform breathing treatments, draw ABGs, conduct EKGs, and manage ventilators/BiPAPs
-
Department-specific orientation provided
-
No specific scrub color or dress code required

Hospitalist/intensivist and ER physician on-call support available in-house

First-time travelers may be considered
