Key Responsibilities
- Perform comprehensive pre-procedure patient evaluations and medical assessments
- Complete post-procedure evaluations and provide follow-up care
- Monitor patients throughout imaging procedures
- Assist with IV placement and procedural support as needed
- Collaborate with radiologists, nurses, technologists, and other healthcare professionals
- Educate patients and families regarding procedures, expectations, and aftercare instructions
- Accurately document assessments, clinical findings, and patient care activities
- Provide safe, compassionate, and high-quality patient care while following established clinical protocols
Qualifications
- Active New York State Physician Assistant license
- NCCPA certification
- Strong clinical assessment and decision-making skills
- Experience in Emergency Medicine, Hospital Medicine, Critical Care, Urgent Care, Radiology, Surgery, or Procedural Care preferred
- IV placement and procedural experience preferred
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently while contributing effectively within a multidisciplinary team
