Job Overview
We are seeking an energetic and welcoming Host/Hostess to join our team! This part-time role is scheduled on Fridays, and Saturdays.
As the first point of contact for our guests, you will create a warm and inviting atmosphere that sets the tone for an exceptional dining or hospitality experience. Your enthusiasm, excellent communication skills, and attention to detail will ensure every guest feels valued and cared for from the moment they arrive. Responsibilities
- Greet guests promptly with a friendly, energetic demeanor, making them feel welcome and appreciated
- Manage reservations and seating arrangements efficiently through Opentable POS
- Coordinate with servers and kitchen staff to ensure smooth flow of service and timely seating
- Answer guest inquiries via phone or in person, providing accurate information about menu options, wait times, and restaurant policies
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the host stand and seating areas to uphold a professional appearance
- Assist with guest relations by addressing concerns or special requests with a positive attitude
- Support team members during busy periods by managing waitlists and communicating effectively with guests
Skills
- Previous host/hostess experience in a fast-paced food service or restaurant environment is preferred but not required.
- Strong customer service skills with a focus on learning quickly and accurately.
- Excellent formal communication skills, including phone etiquette and clear verbal interaction.
- Familiarity with POS systems such as Opentable POS or Resy POS for managing reservations is preferred but not required.
- Knowledge of food service operations, restaurant procedures, and guest relations best practices
- Ability to handle multiple tasks efficiently while maintaining a friendly demeanor
- Hospitality background or hotel experience is a plus, demonstrating adaptability across guest services roles
