Overview:
We are looking for a dependable, motivated, and team-oriented Line Cook to join our kitchen team. As a Line Cook, you will be responsible for preparing menu items according to recipes and ensuring every guest receives an excellent dining experience.
Responsibilities & Duties
- Prepare and cook menu items according to recipes and quality standards.
- Set up and stock assigned workstations before each shift.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and sanitary kitchen at all times.
- Follow all food safety and sanitation guidelines.
- Ensure food is cooked and plated accurately and efficiently.
- Communicate effectively with kitchen staff and front-of-house team during service.
- Monitor food inventory at your station and notify management of shortages.
- Properly store, label, and rotate food using FIFO procedures.
- Assist with food prep, cleaning, and closing duties as assigned.
- Maintain a positive attitude and work collaboratively with the team.
- Operate kitchen equipment safely and report any maintenance issues.
Qualifications
- Previous line cook or restaurant kitchen experience preferred.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining quality.
- Strong multitasking and time management skills.
- Knowledge of food safety and sanitation practices.
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 lbs.
- Flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
- Reliable transportation and strong attendance record.
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: From $14.00 per hour
