Duties: The Office of Undergraduate Admission at the State University of New York at New Paltz seeks candidates for the position of First-Year Admission Advisor who will report to the Director of Undergraduate Admission.
Responsibilities of the position include:
- Recruitment Travel – travel will include but not be limited to New York City (Queens, Bronx, New York, Kings, and Richmond Counties)
- Application Reading and decision making
- College transcript, AP and IB credit evaluations
- High School Transcript finalizations
- General Information Session Presentations
- Communicate with prospective students and their families
- Participate in Undergraduate Admission events – i.e. Open House and Accepted Student’s Days, Weekend General Information Sessions
- General office duties
Qualifications: Required:
- Bachelor’s degree
- Ability to work evenings and some weekends
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment
Preferred:
- Master’s Degree preferred.
- 1-2 years of applicable job experience in university admissions
