Jeffrey Neve Interior Design is seeking a Junior Interior Designer to support all aspects of our residential design practice. This role combines drafting, project coordination, procurement, design support, and administrative responsibilities within a collaborative and fast-paced studio environment.
The ideal candidate is highly organized, detail-oriented, proactive, and eager to learn. We are looking for someone who enjoys both the creative and operational sides of interior design and is excited to grow with a boutique luxury residential design firm.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Design Support
- Assist with furniture, lighting, finish, plumbing, and accessory sourcing.
- Conduct product research and obtain vendor pricing, lead times, and specifications.
- Prepare design presentations and client meeting materials.
- Assist with material selections, sample organization, and design development.
- Attend client meetings, vendor appointments, and project installations as needed.
Drafting & Documentation
- Create and revise AutoCAD floor plans, furniture plans, and elevations.
- Prepare finish schedules, material schedules, and specification packages.
- Maintain project documentation and drawing revisions.
- Assist with measuring existing spaces and documenting field conditions.
Procurement & Project Coordination
- Coordinate with vendors regarding quotes, reserves, specifications, and lead times.
- Prepare proposals, purchase orders, specification sheets, and invoices using Design Manager.
- Track orders, deliveries, and installations.
- Coordinate with receivers, installers, contractors, and vendors to ensure projects remain on schedule.
- Maintain accurate project records and procurement documentation.
Studio Administration
- Maintain project binders, electronic files, and Google Drive organization.
- Update and maintain Basecamp project information.
- Manage sample orders, returns, and the studio sample library.
- Assist with shipping, receiving, and miscellaneous studio tasks.
- Run occasional project-related errands.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Degree in Interior Design or related field preferred.
- 1–3 years of experience in residential interior design preferred.
- Professional proficiency in AutoCAD required.
- SketchUp experience preferred.
- Experience with Design Manager preferred.
- Proficiency with Google Workspace.
- Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines simultaneously.
- Positive attitude and willingness to take initiative.
- Valid driver's license, reliable vehicle, and proof of insurance.

Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $35.00 - $45.00 per hour
Expected hours: 30 – 35 per week
