American Traveler is hiring a Med/Surg RN for an Ortho/Spine unit requiring at least 1 year of recent specialty experience and a TN or compact RN license.

26-bed unit with a 6:1 patient ratio

Unit supported by unit secretary, PCTs, and a Navigator

Cares for patients undergoing knee and hip replacements and multi-level spine surgeries

uses coolers, walkers, SCDs, and CPMs as part of patient care equipment
-
Documentation completed in Meditech
-
13-week assignment with a 7:00 AM - 7:00 PM shift schedule

Requires 4 weekend shifts per schedule

Floating required on a rotational basis

Active RN license (TN or Compact) currently in hand

Minimum 1 year of recent Med/Surg experience required

Strong compassion and teamwork skills required

US Social Security Number and date of birth required for consideration (Canadian SSNs not accepted)

No employment gaps of 90 days or more within the past 12 months

Provide direct care to orthopedic and spine surgery patients including post-op knee, hip, and multi-level spine cases

Navy scrubs required as part of dress code

Candidates must reside outside a 50-mile radius of the facility; local candidates will not be considered
