Position Summary: Truck Drivers deliver inventory and products as needed daily to other facilities, vendors, or customers.
Job Description:
- Communicating and coordinating with dispatchers
- Obeying and following applicable traffic laws
- Securing cargo and properly arranging and balancing it within the vehicle
- Maintaining a detailed log of working hours in compliance with state and federal regulations
- Ensuring any mechanical issues with the vehicle are corrected before driving
- Planning routes and meeting delivery schedules
- Complying with truck driving rules and regulations
- Reporting defects, accidents and violations
- Performing daily maintenance of truck (refueling, cleaning, etc.)
- Loading and unloading box trucks with forklifts and pallet jacks
- Interacting with customers in a professional manner
- Performing pre- and post-trip vehicle inspection reports
- Recording cargo deliveries
- Verifying loads for accuracy
- May drive forklift to transport stored items from warehouse to truck or to pick up items from several locations for shipment.

Required Test:
Preferred Education and Experience:
- High school diploma or equivalent or equal combination of education and experience
- Twelve (12) months of related experience
- Previous delivery driving experience preferred.
- Must successfully pass a DOT physical with a medical examiners certificate of no less than 1 year.
- Must have a valid state issued driver’s license and maintain a driving record within company standards, adhering to policies, procedures and all traffic laws and regulations.
Physical Strain:
- Lifting up to 50 pounds with frequent lifting and/or carrying objects weighing up to 30 pounds
- Bending, squatting, climbing, pulling, stooping, twisting, reaching, working at elevated heights
- Must be able to work under pressure
- Must be able to work with the team developing improved work processes for the department
