Duties
- Assist veterinarians and veterinary technicians with clinical procedures, surgeries, dentals, animal restraint, medication administration, and sample collection.
- Provide compassionate pet care and animal handling, ensuring comfort and safety for a variety of species, including dogs, cats, and the occasional exotics.
- Maintain cleanliness and aseptic techniques within treatment areas, laboratories, and surgical suites to uphold strict hygiene standards.
- Support front desk operations by managing client interactions, scheduling appointments, and processing patient records efficiently.
- Handle laboratory tasks such as sample processing with our bloodwork machines, basic diagnostics, and record keeping to aid in accurate diagnosis.
- Restrain animals during examinations or procedures using proper techniques to ensure safety for both animals and staff.
- Assist with animal husbandry duties including feeding, grooming, cleaning kennels, and monitoring animal health status.
Experience
- Prior kennel experience or animal care background is highly desirable.
- Experience working as a veterinary assistant or in a veterinary clinic setting is preferred.
- Knowledge of veterinary terminology, animal physiology, anatomy, and laboratory procedures enhances your effectiveness in this role.
- Hands-on experience with pet care routines such as dog handling, animal catheterization, and medication administration is beneficial.
- Strong understanding of aseptic techniques and laboratory procedures ensures high standards of safety and accuracy.

Pay: $19.00 - $24.00 per hour
