Curated Studio Designs is seeking a creative, organized and personable Part-Time Interior Design & Studio Assistant to join our interior design and retail studio in downtown Petaluma.
This is a great opportunity for an interior design, visual merchandising, art, architecture or related student who wants hands-on experience inside a working design studio. You’ll have the opportunity to learn many different aspects of the interior design business while also helping us keep our retail studio beautiful, organized and welcoming.
What you’ll help with:
- Assisting designers with day-to-day studio needs
- Helping customers in our curated retail studio
- Merchandising and maintaining product displays
- Receiving, unpacking, pricing and organizing merchandise
- Assisting with product and material sourcing
- Organizing fabrics, samples and design materials
- Light administrative and project support
- Helping prepare for client presentations, installations and studio events
- Keeping the studio polished, organized and welcoming
We’re looking for someone who is:
- Creative and genuinely interested in interior design
- Friendly, polished and professional when interacting with clients and customers
- Organized and detail-oriented
- Dependable and willing to jump in wherever needed
- Comfortable with computers and learning new programs
- Available and willing to work weekends
- Able to maintain a professional, polished appearance appropriate for a high-end interior design and retail studio
- Interested in learning the behind-the-scenes side of an interior design business
Previous design or retail experience is helpful but not required. We care more about finding someone with a strong work ethic, a good eye, a positive attitude and a genuine desire to learn.
Pay: $22/24 hour depending on experience
Schedule: Approximately 7-10 hours per week to start, with the opportunity for additional hours as the studio grows. Weekend availability is required.
