Responsibilities
- Assist with food preparation, including chopping, assembling, and portioning ingredients according to safety standards and recipes
- Maintain cleanliness of kitchen stations by cleaning surfaces, utensils, and equipment regularly
- Support bussing duties by clearing tables promptly and ensuring dining areas are tidy for guests
- Handle manual tasks such as heavy lifting of supplies and food items using safe lifting practices
- Serve food and beverages efficiently during service periods, ensuring timely delivery to guests
- Operate POS systems like Aloha POS and Micros POS for order processing and payments accurately
- Follow food safety protocols related to food handling, storage, and sanitation to ensure compliance with health regulations
Qualifications
- Previous experience in food service or restaurant environments is preferred but not required; willingness to learn is essential
- Knowledge of food handling procedures and safety standards is advantageous
- Ability to perform manual handling tasks including heavy lifting with proper technique
- Strong communication skills for effective teamwork and in-person customer service interactions
- Experience with POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS is a plus
- Prior banquet or large event experience can be beneficial but is not mandatory
- Demonstrated commitment to hospitality, guest services, and maintaining a positive attitude in busy settings
