Job Summary
We are seeking a dynamic and dedicated Line Cook to join our Asian culinary team. Responsibilities
- Prepare and cook menu items according to established recipes and quality standards
- Operate kitchen equipment safely and efficiently, including ovens, grills, slicers, and food processors
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of workstations, adhering to strict food safety and sanitation standards
- Assist with meal preparation, plating, and presentation to ensure timely service
- Follow food handling procedures to ensure safety and prevent cross-contamination
- Collaborate with kitchen staff to coordinate meal production and maintain smooth workflow
- Take orders
- Collect payments
- Support menu planning efforts by preparing ingredients and suggesting improvements based on culinary experience
Skills
- Proven experience in food preparation, cooking, and kitchen operations within a restaurant or food service environment
- Strong knife skills with proficiency in slicing techniques and ingredient prep
- Knowledge of food safety management practices and adherence to safety standards in production
- Ability to follow recipes accurately while maintaining consistency in dish quality
- Excellent communication skills to coordinate effectively with kitchen staff and customers
- Experience with dietary department procedures and dietary aide responsibilities is a plus
- Familiarity with catering services, meal prep processes, and food handling regulations
- Capable of operating various kitchen equipment safely and efficiently
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced setting while maintaining attention to detail
Pay: From $15.00 per hour
