Project Cost Analyst
HiveCo has a contract opportunity with our client for a Project Cost Analyst Associate.

In this role, you'll support Project Managers by coordinating project budgets, cost tracking, forecasting, scheduling, and reporting while helping ensure projects stay on time and within budget.
What You'll Do
- Support Project Managers with project planning, documentation, and coordination of day-to-day project activities.
- Monitor project budgets, costs, forecasts, and cash flow throughout the project lifecycle.
- Perform budget variance analysis, cost tracking, estimate-to-actual comparisons, and schedule variance reporting.
- Develop and maintain project schedules using Primavera P6 and Smartsheet.
- Input and maintain project budgets, forecasts, and key performance indicators (KPIs) within corporate project management systems.
- Assist in establishing baseline budgets and project breakdown structures.
- Coordinate project meetings and communicate project updates with internal teams and stakeholders.
- Support work order creation, tracking, in-servicing, and project closeout activities.
- Maintain accurate project records and assist with reporting related to project costs and financial controls.
- Assist with contractor coordination, bidding activities, cost analysis, and contract tracking when applicable.
- Help support annual budgeting, capital forecasts, five-year planning, and improvement requests.
- Contribute to continuous improvement of project management best practices and governance standards.
- Respond to stakeholder and vendor inquiries while helping resolve project-related issues.
Qualifications
Education & Experience
- Associate's or Bachelor's degree in a related field OR
- High School Diploma/GED with 2+ years of related experience.

Relevant experience may include:
- Project coordination
- Cost tracking and forecasting

- Construction or maintenance projects

Preferred Skills
- Experience with Primavera P6 scheduling
- Experience using Smartsheet
- Knowledge of project budgeting, forecasting, and cost controls
- Familiarity with earned value management concepts
- Exposure to project cost management or accounting systems
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
- Excellent organizational and time management skills
- High attention to detail and accuracy
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to work collaboratively across cross-functional teams
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook, and PowerPoint)

Additional Information
- Some travel, including occasional overnight travel, may be required.
- Ability to safely perform light physical duties at office, home, or project sites as needed.
