Job Overview
We are seeking a dynamic and motivated Key Holder/Sales Associate to join our retail team! In this vital role, you will serve as a key leader on the sales floor, providing exceptional customer service while supporting daily store operations. Duties
- Greet customers warmly, offering expert product knowledge and personalized assistance to enhance their shopping experience
- Assist in managing daily store operations, including opening and closing procedures, cash handling, and POS (Point of Sale) system transactions
- Support inventory management through stock replenishment, merchandising, and inventory control to maximize sales opportunities
- Lead by example in delivering outstanding customer service, resolving issues efficiently, and fostering a positive team environment
- Supervise sales associates during shifts, providing guidance on sales techniques, product knowledge, and operational tasks
- Assist with recruiting efforts by participating in interviewing and onboarding new team members
- Maintain organized store displays, ensure pricing accuracy, and uphold visual merchandising standards
Requirements
- Proven experience in retail sales with a strong understanding of retail industry sales team management
- Demonstrated supervisory or managerial experience, including shift management and team supervision
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to lead and motivate others effectively
- Multilingual or bilingual abilities are a plus to serve diverse customer needs
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail in inventory management, bookkeeping, and cash handling
- Knowledge of POS systems, purchasing procedures, and retail math for accurate transactions and pricing
- Ability to perform basic math calculations quickly and accurately for daily operations
- Experience in customer service roles within retail or grocery environments is preferred
- Demonstrated leadership in training & development initiatives and operational management tasks
- Flexibility to work varied shifts including evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed
