Field Representative – Free Business ListingsJob Summary
Communyti is seeking a friendly, energetic Field Representative to visit local businesses and offer them a completely free business listing in the Communyti directory.
This is a paid outreach position—not a sales position. You will not be responsible for selling memberships, collecting payments, managing social media, or promoting paid services. Your only responsibility is to introduce Communyti’s free listing, help interested business owners provide their basic information, and submit that information to our team.
Responsibilities
- Visit local businesses from an assigned list or geographic area.
- Introduce yourself and briefly explain the free Communyti business listing.
- Invite business owners or managers to claim their free listing.
- Clearly explain that the listing is free and does not require a purchase.
- Collect basic business information, including:
- Business name
- Owner or contact name
- Phone number
- Email address
- Business address
- Website or social-media links
- Business category
- Short description of products or services
- Help the business owner complete the listing form when needed.
- Record each visit and its outcome accurately.
- Submit completed listing information to the Communyti team.
- Treat every business owner with professionalism, courtesy, and respect.
- Follow up only when requested or instructed by the team.

- Collect money or payment information
- Pressure anyone to participate
- Manage social-media accounts
- Organize events
- Give formal presentations
- Build or design the business listings
- Provide technical support
Qualifications
- Friendly, confident, and comfortable speaking with local business owners
- Clear verbal communication skills
- Dependable and able to work independently
- Organized and able to keep accurate records
- Comfortable using a smartphone, tablet, or simple online form
- Professional appearance and respectful attitude
- Reliable transportation for visiting assigned businesses
- Previous customer-service, outreach, canvassing, or field-marketing experience is helpful but not required
Ideal Candidate
The ideal candidate enjoys meeting people, supporting small businesses, and being active in the community. You should be comfortable walking into a business, introducing yourself, and having a short, friendly conversation.
No aggressive selling is involved. Your job is simply to give local businesses an opportunity to receive a free Communyti listing.
Position Type
Paid field-outreach position with flexible scheduling. Training, outreach materials, and a list of businesses to contact will be provided.
Pay: $35,000.00 - $45,000.00 per year
