About the Position
Mind Works is seeking a Texas-licensed Licensed Professional Counselor with training and experience in psychological testing to join our pediatric behavioral health team.
This is a specialized clinical position focused primarily on psychological and psychoeducational assessment services for children and adolescents. Internally, we refer to this role as a Testing LPC.
The Testing LPC works collaboratively with licensed psychologists and other members of our multidisciplinary team to administer and score assessment measures, gather clinical information, document testing observations, and contribute to comprehensive evaluations and treatment recommendations.
This position is a strong fit for an LPC who enjoys structured assessment work, values accuracy and timely documentation, and wants to work within an integrated pediatric behavioral health practice.

Primary Responsibilities
- Administer standardized psychological, developmental, behavioral, and psychoeducational assessment measures to children and adolescents.
- Accurately score assessment instruments according to standardized procedures.
- Conduct behavioral observations and gather relevant clinical and collateral information.
- Document testing sessions, observations, scoring, and other required clinical information thoroughly and promptly.
- Contribute designated information and documentation to psychological evaluation reports.
- Coordinate closely with supervising psychologists regarding testing protocols, clinical concerns, and evaluation findings.
- Communicate professionally with parents, caregivers, schools, and members of the treatment team.
- Maintain an organized testing schedule and meet established productivity and documentation expectations.
- Participate in interdisciplinary consultation and treatment-team meetings as needed.
- Maintain ethical and professional standards consistent with Texas licensure requirements and Mind Works policies.
- Seek consultation promptly when clinical, ethical, or testing questions arise.
- Provide individual or family therapy on a limited basis when needed and mutually agreed upon.
QualificationsRequired
- Current, unrestricted Licensed Professional Counselor license in Texas.
- Training or professional experience administering and scoring psychological, developmental, educational, or behavioral assessment measures.
- Experience working with children, adolescents, and families.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to standardized testing procedures.
- Reliable attendance and the ability to maintain a consistent patient schedule.
- Ability to complete scoring, documentation, and assigned responsibilities within established timeframes.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to collaborate effectively with psychologists, therapists, medical providers, administrative staff, and families.
- Comfort using electronic medical records and standard office technology.
Preferred
- At least one year of child or adolescent psychological-testing experience.
- Experience with psychological or psychoeducational evaluations involving concerns such as ADHD, autism, learning differences, intellectual functioning, emotional functioning, or developmental conditions.
- Experience with TherapyNotes.
- Experience working in an integrated or multidisciplinary behavioral health setting.
