Big M Lawn Maintenance Co. is seeking dedicated, hardworking Crew Members to join our team. We are a locally owned company with nearly 30 years of service to the Wadsworth area. This position offers year-round employment opportunities, with responsibilities transitioning between lawn maintenance, landscape installation and maintenance, and winter snow and ice management.
Duties & Responsibilities:
Lawn Maintenance (Spring, Summer & Fall)
- Mow residential and commercial properties
- Trim and edge along sidewalks, driveways, curbs, and landscape beds
- Blow off hard surfaces to maintain a clean, professional appearance
- Assist with weed control and general property maintenance
- Follow daily job routes and maintain efficiency on job sites
- Perform routine equipment maintenance and minor repairs
Landscape Maintenance (Spring, Summer & Fall)
- Edge and mulch landscape beds
- Trim trees, shrubs, and hedges
- Remove and install plant material
- Maintain weed-free landscape beds
- Install landscape materials including mulch, plants, and other landscape features
- Operate hand tools, power tools, and landscape equipment safely and effectively
Snow & Ice Management (Winter)
- Perform snow removal services for residential and commercial properties
- Operate snowplows, skid steers, snow blowers, and other snow removal equipment as assigned
- Shovel and clear sidewalks, walkways, entrances, and other designated areas
- Apply salt, ice melt, and other de-icing materials as needed
- Respond to weather events during daytime, nighttime, weekends, and holiday hours as required
- Assist with winter equipment preparation, maintenance, and repairs
Qualifications
- Previous experience in lawn maintenance, landscaping, or snow removal is preferred but not required
- Mechanical knowledge and experience operating landscaping or snow removal equipment is a plus
- Familiarity with hand tools, power tools, mowers, trimmers, and other outdoor equipment
- Ability to work outdoors in a variety of weather conditions throughout all seasons
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship
- Dependable, self-motivated, and able to work as part of a team
- Ability to lift heavy objects and perform physically demanding tasks
- Valid driver's license preferred; ability to drive company vehicles and transport equipment is a plus
Pay: $18.00 - $20.00 per hour
