Responsibilities
- Provide companionship and engage in conversation
- Assist clients with activities of daily living (ADLs) to promote independence.
- Monitor patient health by observing and reporting any changes to healthcare professionals.
- Prepare nutritious meals and assist with meal planning as needed.
- Maintain a clean and safe environment by performing light housekeeping duties.
- Provide transportation to appointments and activities
- Medication reminders as prescribed and ensure adherence to care plans.
- Engage clients in social activities to enhance their quality of life.
- Provide companionship and emotional support to clients with disabilities, dementia, and Alzheimer's.
- Document patient care activities accurately while adhering to HIPAA regulations.
Minimum shift is 4 hours a day, 16 hours a week.
Qualifications:
- Compassionate and caring personality
- Ability to treat seniors and their property with dignity and respect; experience with dementia and Alzheimer’s disease is a plus
- Good and patient listener with a friendly and polite demeanor
- Successful completion of a background check, DMV check, and drug screening
- Must possess a valid driver's license, Social Security card, and valid auto insurance
- Available to work a minimum of 16 hours a week
