Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and hardworking Busser/food runner to join our culinary team. This role is essential in maintaining the cleanliness and efficiency of our kitchen and dining areas. The ideal candidate will have a passion for food service and a commitment to providing an exceptional dining experience for our guests. As a Busser/Food runner, you will play a vital role in supporting our kitchen staff and ensuring that all dishes, utensils, and dining areas are clean and well-organized.
Responsibilities
- Wash and sanitize dishes, glassware and utensils, using commercial dishwashing equipment.
- Maintain cleanliness in the kitchen area by cleaning countertops, floors, and equipment as needed.
- Assist in food preparation tasks as directed by kitchen staff to ensure timely service.
- Bus tables promptly after guests leave to prepare for the next diners.
- Ensure that dining areas are clean, organized, and ready for service at all times.
- Support banquet services by assisting with setup and breakdown of events as required.
- Follow all health and safety regulations to maintain a safe working environment.
Skills
- Experience in food preparation or culinary settings is preferred but not required.
- Familiarity with restaurant operations, including bussing tables and cleaning protocols.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
- Strong teamwork skills with the ability to communicate effectively with kitchen staff and management.
- A proactive attitude towards cleanliness and organization within the kitchen and dining areas.
- Willingness to learn new skills related to food service and culinary practices.
