Position Summary
The Corporate Staff Accountant supports the accounting and financial operations of a commercial real estate portfolio. The ideal candidate is detail‑oriented, collaborative, and capable of managing multiple priorities in a fast‑paced commercial real estate environment.
Key Responsibilities

Deposit checks daily and review check logs for accuracy

Prepare and process commission invoices in accordance with contractual terms

Monitor and reconcile corporate collections report

Prepare and process intercompany billings on a monthly, quarterly, and annual basis

Prepare and process commercial billings monthly

Create charges for all intercompany billings

Track and maintain updates to property square footage records used for billing purposes

Reconcile company credit card activity and process payments

Perform monthly account reconciliations and prepare/process billback invoices

Apply and record cash receipts accurately and timely

Reconcile corporate receivable ledgers and collect outstanding balances

Coordinate with Accounts Payable and Reporting Accountants to ensure timely payments

Other special projects as assigned by the Chief Accounting Officer
Education & Experience
-
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance required

Accounting experience in commercial real estate preferred
Skills & Competencies
-
Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Excel

Experience with Yardi software strongly preferred

High attention to detail with strong organizational and analytical skills

Ability to manage deadlines and multiple priorities in a deadline‑driven environment

Strong work ethic with the ability to work collaboratively as part of a team

Clear and professional written and verbal communication skills
Physical Requirements

Ability to sit and work at a desk for extended periods performing accounting and administrative tasks

Ability to use a computer, keyboard, and standard office equipment regularly

Ability to attend in‑office meetings and collaborate with team members onsite
