Job Summary
Must be at least 3G certified in stick welding.
Fabricating and installing RTU, stairs, railings, ladders and steel strong backs. Must be 25 years old with clean driving record. Can work off of scissors lift and be able to drive 20' flatbed truck and pull trailer sometimes.
Duties
- Read and interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and work orders to determine fabrication requirements.
- Perform various welding techniques including MIG and arc welding to join metal parts accurately.
- Fabricate custom metal components using cutting, grinding, drilling, and bending tools.
- Inspect finished welds and assemblies for quality, strength, and adherence to safety standards.
- Maintain a clean and organized workspace, ensuring all tools and equipment are properly stored and maintained.
- Collaborate with team members to troubleshoot fabrication issues and optimize processes.
- Follow safety protocols diligently to prevent accidents and ensure compliance with OSHA regulations.
Qualifications
- Proven experience as a welder or fabricator in a manufacturing or industrial setting.
- Proficiency in various welding techniques such as MIG and arc welding.
- Ability to read technical drawings, blueprints, and schematics accurately.
- Strong attention to detail with excellent manual dexterity.
- Knowledge of safety standards related to welding and fabrication processes.
- Ability to operate fabrication tools including grinders, saws, drills, and bending machines.
- Basic math skills for measurements and calculations required during fabrication tasks.
