Security Team Member

As a Security Team Member, you are the frontline guardian of our guest experience. You will ensure a safe and welcoming environment by staying alert, maintaining a visible presence, and responding to needs with both authority and empathy.
What You’ll Do:
Maintain Site Safety: Proactively patrol property grounds and monitor entry/exit points, including performing thorough bag checks.
Enforce Safety Standards: Ensure guests follow venue policies—such as ride restrictions and food/beverage rules—to keep everyone safe.
Manage Crowd Flow: Monitor high-traffic areas and use professional de-escalation techniques to resolve conflicts or handle rule violations.Be a
Guest Ambassador: Support a fun atmosphere by providing clear communication and assistance to visitors whenever needed.

- Effective communication skills to convey information clearly and courteously.
- Strong service orientation by actively seeking ways to assist guests.
- Active listening skills, including giving full attention, understanding points made, and asking appropriate questions.
- Social perceptiveness to be aware of others’ reactions and understand their causes.
- Basic computer literacy to operate security systems and write incident reports.
- Time management and supervisory skills to manage one’s own time and assist in overseeing others.
- Maintain a high level of professionalism and embody the CELTS Spirit.
- Post-secondary education in a Law or Security program, or previous experience in a similar or related field.
- Strong writing and communication skills.
- Ability to organize work, plan activities, and set priorities effectively.
- A friendly and pleasant personality demonstrating maturity and sound judgment.
- Standard First Aid and CPR Certification.
- Ability to speak a second language.
- Security experience in an amusement park or waterpark setting.
- Ability to work outdoors in all types of weather, including heat and humidity.
- Availability to work weekends, holidays, and sometimes in isolation.
- Creativity, flexibility, and strong problem-solving capabilities.
- Excellent organizational and administrative skills with strong attention to detail.
- High school diploma or GED required.
- Permanent Employee Registration Card (PERC) issued by the Illinois Department of Financial & Professional Regulation (IDFPR).
